The International Road Federation is a global not-for-profit organization, headquartered in Washington, DC since 1948 and supported by regional offices throughout the world to serve a network of IRF Members in more than 70 countries.

Democritus University of Thrace is a member of the International Road Federation, Geneva. 

The purpose of the International Transportation Economics Association (ITEA) is to promote the development and application of transport economics.
ITEA organizes annually the Kuhmo Nectar Conference and Summer School of ITEA, and Economics of Transportation: Journal of ITEA, jointly with Elsevier Publisher.

As the official journal of the American Real Estate and Urban Economics AssociationReal Estate Economics is the premier journal on real estate topics.  Since 1973, Real Estate Economics has been facilitating communication among academic researchers and industry professionals and improving the analysis of real estate decisions.  Articles span a wide range of issues, from tax rules to brokers' commissions to corporate real estate including housing and urban economics, and the financial economics of real estate development and investment.

As part of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, the Transportation Research Board (TRB) provides leadership in transportation improvements and innovation through trusted, timely, impartial, and evidence-based information exchange, research, and advice regarding all modes of transportation. For example, committees, researchers, and staff are currently focused on advancing resilient infrastructure, exploring transformational technology, and caring for the public’s health and safety.
